Weydon recognised 'amongst the most exceptional nationally' by SSAT
SSAT is the largest and longest-standing network of secondary schools in England. They offer an independent national perspective, a reputation for quality and have established a development and school improvement programme that help leaders and teachers to further outcomes for all young people. Underpinned by a deep motivation for social justice, their ambition is that “all students, whatever their ability or context, leave school fully prepared to lead fulfilled and purposeful lives”.
SSAT aims to recognise schools that are meeting the highest standards and Weydon School has been recognised within their framework for their teaching practice which is “amongst the most exceptional nationally”.
Accreditation have been received for:
‘Transforming practice in principled curriculum design’ with the report stating “the approach to curriculum at Weydon School is extremely impressive. All aspects are carefully planned and both students and staff can clearly articulate how learning is structured”.
‘Transforming practice in professional learning’ where the report states “your practice in relation to professional development is really exceptional. Your team bring together their considerable expertise in all aspects of school development and classroom practice with a clear understanding of effective professional learning. It is easy to see the impact that you are having within and beyond your school”.
