Ofsted

Ofsted 2023

We are delighted that in Weydon’s recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged as ‘Outstanding’ for ‘Quality of Education’ and for the ‘Personal Development’ of students. Ofsted spoke in glowing terms of our “happy and successful” pupils and ethos for excellence, which is both supportive and nurturing.

The “highly productive and happy learning environment” was commended by Ofsted along with the strength of relationships between pupils and teachers.
School leaders were described as having ‘ambition for all students’ and for providing opportunities for students’ personal development that last long after they have left school; teachers were recognised for their ‘innovative and engaging teaching’ and students for their ‘exceedingly good’ behaviour, respect and kindness. Please do read our letter to parents for our full response to the report.

Ofsted 2010-11 Subject Survey Inspection Programme: Citizenship

On 9th and 10th February 2011 Ofsted visited our school to look at one aspect of the school’s work. This inspection was evaluating the work that is carried out in the area of citizenship. At Weydon, Citizenship is not taught as a GCSE subject. Therefore, Ofsted found our overall effectiveness of citizenship as good with outstanding qualities. The whole school inspection which took place on 9 and 10 June 2009 and found the overall effective as Outstanding is also available below.
