The Medici Theatre has a seating capacity of 300 and its large, airy foyer provides a gathering space for guests prior to the performance. It is best suited to proscenium theatre style productions, but can also be used for conferences, speeches and when the seating is removed the space makes an excellent exhibition area.
There are toilet facilities and two areas which can be used as dressing rooms.
A fully functional bar and box office are also available for use.
Wheelchair access is available and there is also a hearing loop system.
There is a high level band gallery which has a video link to the stage.

The stage measures 6.5m deep by 12 metres wide with a proscenium width of 9m by 4.8 metres high. There are two entrances to the rear of the stage. A smaller studio space with light and sound is also available and this area can either be open to the foyer or closed. There are 3 Motor LX bars above the stage and 5 full height hemp flying bars with a maximum load of 75kgs which are used for Black Half Tabs, Border and Cyclorama. |
