Weydon School Café - Everything You Need to Know
At Weydon, we offer a cashless catering system to make buying food and drinks quick and easy for students.
Here’s everything you need to know about how it works, where to buy food, and other important details.
How the Cashless System Works
- All new students will have their biometric fingerprint scanned (finger or thumb) to set up their electronic payment account. This account is used to pay for any food or drink purchased at school.
- Topping Up the Account: Parents/carers can add money via Arbor Pay.
Paying for Food & Drinks
- Check balances regularly to ensure enough funds are available.
- If there is an issue with payment (technical or otherwise), Student Reception can assist.
- If a student runs out of funds, we will contact parents/carers to request a top-up.
- No student will go without lunch if we are aware of an issue.
Meal Deal Price: A main meal + dessert costs £2.60 per day (drinks not included).
Where to Buy Food
Students can purchase food and drinks from three locations around the school:
- Breakpoint Café - Hot meals, salads, and Grab & Go items.
- The Pod - A variety of hot and cold takeaway food.
- Just Relax (near the Sports Fields) - Snacks, hot food, and drinks.
Availability
- Break time: All three locations are open for snacks and early lunches.
- Lunchtime: A full range of meals is available.
- After school: Snacks can be purchased at the Breakpoint Cafe, especially useful for students attending clubs or sports fixtures.
Water Fountains & Drinks
- Water fountains are available around the school for refilling bottles.
- Students are encouraged to bring a named plastic water bottle with a sports top.
- Fizzy drinks and energy drinks (including those with caffeine) are not allowed at Weydon.
- Water bottles can be refilled at break or lunchtime (not during lessons).
Daily Spend Limit
Default limit: £10.00 per day.

Dietary Requirements
If your child has dietary restrictions, Innovate Catering Staff can provide ingredient details upon request.
No Refund Policy
Refunds are not available for student catering accounts.
Year 11 students & leavers: Make sure to spend all remaining money before leaving.
Bringing a Packed Lunch
- Students bringing lunch from home can eat inside the Breakpoint Cafe alongside those purchasing meals.
- Packed lunches may also be eaten in designated outdoor areas.
- Food should not be eaten in corridors or classrooms while walking around.
