Why We Fundraise:
 
  • Although Weydon is a state-funded school, the money received doesn’t cover all the ‘extras’ we offer.
  • Funding gap this year: £185 per student, equating to a £300,000 shortfall.
 
Monetary Donations:
 
  • Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
  • Donations can be made as a one-off or regular payment to the Weydon School Trust Fund:

  • Please use your child’s name as a reference.
  • If you’re a UK taxpayer, complete a Gift Aid declaration to help us claim an extra 25% at no cost to you.
  • Alternatively, donations can also be made through an online link.
 
 
Other Ways to Help (No/Low Cost):
 
  • Easyfundraising: Sign up and donate as you shop at Sainsburys, John Lewis, Tesco, and more.
  • Donate second-hand uniform: Drop off Weydon-branded items at the school reception (term time only).
  • Help with grants: If you have experience with grants, offer advice or help with applications.
  • Volunteer at events: Help run fundraising stalls, tombolas, or events.
  • Donate unwanted gifts or raffle prizes: We accept these year-round at reception.
  • Nominate Weydon for charity draws: Help us get a chance to win additional funds.
  • Employer Gift Matching: Some companies match employee fundraising efforts—ask your employer if they offer this!
 
Sponsorship Opportunities:
 
  • If you own a company or know someone who does, consider sponsoring Weydon events or initiatives.
 
Events & Contributions:
 
  • Help at fundraising events or donate items like vouchers, goods, or unwanted gifts to auctions/raffles.
  • Nominations for charity draws can help us receive an extra £1000. Complete a simple form to support us.
