The need for fundraising is a reality for many schools and Weydon is no exception. Although we are a state funded school, the money we receive is not enough to provide all the amazing ‘extras’ Weydon offer. “Our finance figures show there is a funding gap of around £185 per student this year…this equates to a £300,000 shortfall” Please see this very short video from our Principal to find out more.

Here are some of the ways you can help at no or low cost:

Donate your unneeded second-hand school uniform
Give some time to helping us research and apply for grants
Join our team in running fundraising stalls or events
Donate unwanted gifts, bottles, raffle prizes. We can take contributions all year round
Nominate Weydon for a charity draw.
If you don’t have the time to help, but can offer a one off or regular monetary donation, we will make every penny count.
Some companies offer excellent gift matching schemes. Please ask as we may be able to double up on our fundraising.
Or if you own a company or know someone who does, we can also offer sponsorship opportunities.

Buy good quality pre-loved uniform at our face-to-face sales (located at the Globe entrance) at Parents Consultation Evenings. Or, you can order second hand uniform online.
Do you have any outgrown school uniform to donate? Weydon badged items can be handed in to our school reception (term time only). Back to top
Do you have experience in the education, young persons, sports or charity sector and can advise our Senior Leadership Team and Governors on what Grants are available to apply for? Do you have experience of the Grant application process and can ‘walk Weydon’ through the process of applying? The school and students could greatly benefit from your experience and advice. Throughout the year we organise various auctions and raffles. Could you or your business make a donation? It could be vouchers or goods from your business or a new, unwanted gift or bottle of wine. Simply drop in at reception. Back to top
Please complete a short form to boost our chances to receive a £1000 from a prize draw during 2024. The more nominations Weydon School Trust Fund receives, the more probability we have of being drawn to receive £1,000. Please spread the word and get your friends, family and network to nominate. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Donate via our website (UK tax payers can also gift aid their donations utilising the website link, but please make sure the name on the account matches the name of the donor). Or make a one off payment or monthly direct debit to Weydon School Trust Fund 30-93-20 Acc no. 20486168 using your child’s name as a reference. If donating to our bank account and you are a UK Tax payer, please complete a Gift Aid declaration which will enable us to claim an extra 25% at no cost to you. Back to top
Can your employer offer a gift matching scheme?
Some businesses offer time off for employees to help fundraise and will match whatever employees raise (with support from our fundraising team).
From Accenture to Argos, Tesco to Vodaphone, nearly all the Banks and many Management Consultants and Pharmaceutical Companies do – we could raise thousands this way.

Are you interested in sponsorship opportunities? You may want to sponsor a whole school event, or one specific to a curriculum area or Year group. We can tailor a package to suit you. An example of such events might be: • School Open Evening, • Sports Day • Yr 11 Prom • School prize giving ceremonies • School social event. Back to top
