A reminder that the branch is holding a fundraising talk all about Space Science by Astrophysicist Prof Alan Smith on the afternoon of Saturday 16th November at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory near Dorking.

Prof Smith will also talk about opportunities to work in the field of space science.

The talk will be from 3.00 to 4.30pm, with refreshments served from 2.30pm.

It is for adults and young people aged 12 and over - please note, under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance. To reserve your place, please book on eventbrite:

You will then be asked to make a donation to the NAS Surrey Branch via bank transfer. The suggested minimum donation is £5 per place, but as this is a key fundraiser for us, larger amounts will be very gratefully received.

The Additional Needs and Disabilities (AND) Partnership has designed a survey for all parents and carers of children and young people with AND in Surrey.

The AND Partnership want to understand your experience of accessing help and support related to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Surrey. They will use your feedback to improve local services that support Surrey’s children with additional needs with their education, health (including diagnosis) and care.

The survey closes at 23:59 on Sunday 24 November 2024.
