Eid celebrations at Weydon School

Marking the month long end of Ramadan and dawn-to-sunset fasting, Eid is a time of celebration.

Traditionally, it's a time to spend with family and friends, share meals, exchange presents and engage in charitable acts.

Students at Weydon had the opportunity to join in the celebrations and learn more about this special festival as they enjoyed food and henna whilst raising money for the recent disasters in Syria and Turkey.

Weydon School are particularly proud of the students who took the initiative to organise and run such an enjoyable and informative event, as well as their contribution of over £350 to such a worthwhile cause.
