Weydon School raise an impressive £2,875 for Children in Need
Weydon School raised an impressive £2,875 at their annual ‘Children in Need’ fundraiser. Organised by the Year 11 student leaders, the theme this year was ‘Video games’.
Students donated to wear their own clothes or to dress up - and some truly entered into the spirit of the event with costumes varying from retro Tetris and Pac-Man to firm favourite FIFA.
Students organised fundraising activities from karaoke and video games to throwing sponges at teachers in the stocks and selling popcorn, candyfloss and other treats. They also led an incredible playground flash mob.
The substantial sum raised shows just what a difference a group of people can make when they all come together with a shared purpose. Weydon are rightfully proud of the contribution student leaders and indeed the whole school community have made to this worthy cause.
