Behaviour for Learning Conference
i2i Teaching Partnership Hosts Behaviour for Learning Conference at Weydon School
150 Teacher Trainees from four local SCITTs (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) came together for a joint Behaviour for Learning Conference. The four SCITTs were; GLF, Thamesmead, George Abbott and the i2i Teaching Partnership.
The conference was led by Mr David Euridge, the Executive Head of three Pupil Referral Units and one Special School. David is also a National Leader of Education and in this capacity he supports mainstream schools with implementing effective behaviour management strategies. The day was centred on equipping Trainee Teachers with a toolkit for managing students' behaviour. It was a real privilege to have such a leading expert in this field, working with the Trainees and building their confidence in this area of their practice.
The Trainees also benefitted from the opportunity to work with other colleagues from other ITT providers and share experiences and ideas.
Miss Mezzullo, Director of the i2i Teaching Partnership SCITT commented: “We are very grateful to David for the information he shared with all the trainee teachers. It was invaluable and will be of great benefit to them for their future in the classroom. The feedback we received was very positive and we are thrilled so many trainees participated.”
