Weydon School Students Achieve Outstanding Progress
Weydon School was delighted to receive the news from the official Government data provider that the GCSE results from 2018 continued to provide good news.
The progress made by the Y11 students who left in the summer of 2018 meant that the school was placed in the top 8% of schools nationally for progress.
The school’s Principal, Mrs Jackie Sharman said; “This news is a fantastic boost for all the students and staff at Weydon School. We’re always delighted with the high levels of attainment that our students achieve but this measure recognises that the belief the staff have in all of the students regardless of where they are academically when they start at Weydon ensures that they achieve their full potential.”
Additionally, in The Sunday Times Parent Power 2019 Best UK School’s Guide, Weydon School was ranked 4th best state secondary school in the Country. This position was based upon the 9-7 attainment measure which replaces the old A*-A grades.
